I found the Chihiro launcher for the og xbox again but it's source so i'm going to have to build that and i'm also going to have to decrypt the CHD roms again all things that can be done I just can't right meow / maybe ever sorry. like yes on paper a Chihiro is just a xbox with more ram but there a lot of new stuff bolted on like the GD rom and that encryption stick thingy that for the most part has to be coded from the ground up

The only xbox I have with the extra ram is my dev kit (the original xbox has 64 MB of RAM and the dev kits have 128 MB and you need like 256 MB to 512 MB depending on game for the Chihiro so even a dev kit isen't ideal but it's better then a stock xbox) and it's stock so modding it to run non dev kit code is something I don't want to do but ill look into this a bit more.įrom my little bit of googling it looks like you can unpack the CHD and then you might be able to re-pack it into a xbox iso with something like qwix but yeah i'm going to go and see if I can find some CHDs for myself and try it out and i'll upload anything I get working. One thing about modern MAME development that can’t be stressed enough is just how much the emulation of seemingly random machines and peripherals can help improve the emulation of other machines, often ones where developers had got stuck with the emulation and ran out of ideas for figuring out what was wrong. Yeah it's been awhile since I looked into any Chihiro stuff.
